Juelz Santana says his domestic violence case is being blown out of proportion.

The Harlem rapper, who was involved in an argument with his son’s mother on Tuesday morning (August 28), was arrested and charged with making terroristic threats and possessing a weapon, according to the Associated Press. He was released the same day on $5,000 bail.

“It was an argument, that’s it,” Santana told XXLMag.com. “As you can see, the news reported there was no wounds. [Police] said there was a threat—I don’t really know where that came from.”

Overall, the initial reports about the incident were unclear. Initially, news outlets reported that Juelz threatened to kill his wife—he’s actually not married.

“I don’t know where the media is getting all these twisted stories from,” Juelz said. “If I’m gon’ kill anybody, it’s going to be the [rap] game.”

Juelz has actually tackled the topic of domestic violence in past raps. On 2003’s From Me to U, the song “My Problem (Jealousy)” finds Santana apologizing for physically abusing a girlfriend. He confirmed that the woman addressed in the song is indeed his baby’s mother in question.

“To all my fans who heard the bad news or read it, I want to apologize—even though I don’t really know what I’m apologizing for,” he says. “I’m apologizing for the disturbing news. For the media’s stupidity.”

The Diplomats soldier and Skull Gang captain is currently working on his third solo album, Born to Lose, Build to Win, slated for a December release.

Earlier this afternoon (August 25) popular celebrity gossip website tmz.com reported that Juelz Santana was arrested for allegedly threatening to kill his wife.

XXLMag.com spoke with the Harlem rapper’s longtime rep, Lynn Hobson, and apparently TMZ got the story wrong. According to Hobson, Juelz is not married and the fight in question was with a neighbor in their parking lot, not his wife.

The Dipset MC was reportedly put in cuffs at 10:30 a.m. this morning in his Teaneck, NJ home after the woman called 911. She claims he threatened her in front of a child. He is currently at home. (Via (A HREF="http://www.xxlmag.com/online/?p=55649" target="Blank">XXL)

Juelz Santana, the rapper who's collaborated with Chris Brown, Sean Kingston and Cam'ron, was arrested at his home in New Jersey this morning -- after a woman told cops he threatened to kill her!

Cops tell us they showed up at Santana's Teaneck residence around 10:30 AM after the woman called 911. The woman's relationship to Santana is unclear.

According to law enforcement sources, the woman did not need medical assistance -- but she told police the threat was made in front of a child.

The rapper was arrested -- his bail was set at $300.

A rep for Santana tells TMZ, "He has problems with the people in his complex, they hate on him because he is a rapper with big cars." (Via TMZ)

CHAMP: Of course Juelz, as boss of Skull Gang, what are your thoughts and views on the pressure of Skull Gang having to live up to the success of Dipset?



Juelz Santana: Yeah. Well like I said we just trying to use it as a platform. We not tryin’ to compare Dipset to us. After this album we’ll put out a next mixtape and then my album comes out, and then whichever one of my artist that has they solo deal at the time. Then after that it’ll definitely be the main event.



CHAMP: In terms of your project, do we have a release date already in the works?



Juelz Santana: There’s no release date at the time. It’s gonna come in the middle of the summer or end of the summer when it’s real hot. Born to Lose Built to Win is the title for the album, so we just gon’ grind it out ‘til then and put out a whole bunch of shit. We got my solo mixtape coming too The Reagan Era. That’ll be out next month. It’s supposed to be out the end of this month but I didn’t wanna drop it close to the Skull Gang album.



CHAMP: Of course as fan, I’m definitely saddened at the situation going down with the Set. Now your issue was you weren’t able to work with some of the artists who you developed relationships with in the game and there’s some money situations as well, but according to Cam he was reported saying that he was trying to fight for you on Def Jam and they were trying to get take bigger portions of your money. Where you aware of that situation going on behind the scenes?



Juelz Santana: Nah nah, but you know, I’m done with talkin’ ‘bout the situation. That situation between us with Cam is kinda old. It’s been goin’ on for the whole year before Cam came back out and now he’s back out. I’d rather let people listen to whatever he’s got to say. I’m done with it. At the end of the day I’ll let him do the talkin’. I’m tired of goin’ back and forth. He says this and then in the next interview he says this. I’m sick of that man and it’s stupid. I spoke my piece and it is what it is. Niggas gotta deal with theyselves at the end of the day.
